Obesity in children

Obesity in childhood may be caused by two reasons. First, the daily diet, for example, many parents who have to be divided among multiple tasks, work and home, it's more comfortable offering fast food to their children; Second, the lack of physical activity, and most their activities are concentrated around the television, computer and video games.

Bad eating habits in childhood have negative effects on health. First, are more likely to develop high blood pressure and cholesterol, which is linked to heart disease in adulthood. Second, the emergence of type 2 diabetes increases significantly in children and adolescents are overweight.

The overweight and sedentary children have mental health effects. Two effects of a sedentary lifestyle are the difficulties for sports, for example, the ability to walk more than one block is affected by the lack of physical activity and overweight, and second, loss of sleep which is caused by the too much video games or television, ending with the most obese generation.

In concluding there are an obvious impacts in health caused by obesity which will affect adversely their mental and physical function besides if it is untreated could trigger dangerous diseases, so it is necessary to mitigate the conduct or behavior that allow our children to become obese thus improving their quality of life for present and future.

  1. Bad habits acquired in childhood can lead the child to suffer disturbing consequences, primarily for health. The risk of developing disorders during adolescence is a clear example of what can happen if the obese child does not receive adequate treatment and care to your diet and lifestyle.
